1. Nature of the Plan
The ELEHEAR Protection Plan is an optional service contract offered by ELEHEAR in addition to the standard ELEHEAR Limited Warranty. It is not an insurance product. Notably, the standard ELEHEAR warranty policy does not cover accidental damage, loss, or theft of the hearing aid. This Plan is designed to provide supplemental coverage for these specific scenarios that are excluded from the standard warranty policy This Plan does not extend, modify, or replace ELEHEAR’s one-year limited warranty; instead, it provides supplemental benefits for accidental events not covered under warranty. Availability and cancellation rights may vary by state law.
2. Coverage Period
The Protection Plan is effective immediately upon purchase(with the purchase date serving as the effective date) and expires twelve (12) months thereafter (“Coverage Period”). The Plan is valid only for the original purchaser and the original product order.
This protection plan is non-refundable once purchased. The Plan is non-transferable and cannot be resold.
3. Covered Benefits (One-Time Use Only)
During the Coverage Period, the Protection Plan provides the following one-time benefits:
- Accidental Damage Protection: One-time 100% component replacement for accidental damage not covered under the ELEHEAR One-Year Warranty (e.g., drops, liquid damage, pet chewing, accidental breakage). Covered components include one hearing aid unit, single or dual receiver wires, charging case, wax guards, and ear domes.
- Loss or Theft Protection: One-time full device replacement is available upon payment of a replacement fee of USD $149 in the event your hearing aid is lost or stolen. ELEHEAR may require reasonable proof of loss or theft. In most cases, a signed customer statement (for example, an email confirmation describing the incident) will be sufficient. However, in cases deemed high-risk or suspicious, ELEHEAR reserves the right to request additional supporting documentation, such as a police report number.
4. Relationship to Warranty Policy
- Manufacturing defects, material defects, and workmanship issues are covered under the ELEHEAR One-Year Warranty.
- The Protection Plan does not extend the duration of the standard warranty.
- If an issue qualifies under warranty, warranty coverage applies first. The Protection Plan may only be used for situations not covered by warranty.
5. Exclusions
The Protection Plan does not cover:
- Intentional damage, misuse, modification, or unauthorized repairs;
- Cosmetic damage not affecting function, consumables, or normal wear and tear (e.g., ear tips, charging cables, charging case);
- Products purchased from unauthorized channels;
- Issues already covered under the ELEHEAR Limited Warranty.
6. Conditions of Use
- Benefits must be initiated through ELEHEAR Customer Support, which will verify eligibility. (via original order number, or registered email/mobile phone number). Before the user exercises any benefit under this Plan, ELEHEAR Customer Support will confirm with the user in advance to ensure the user is aware of which specific service item under the Plan is being utilized.
- For accidental damage claims, the defective product/component must be returned in full to ELEHEAR, unless otherwise waived. Please note that return shipping costs will be for your own account.
- For loss/theft claims, ELEHEAR may require reasonable proof as described above.
- Once a Protection Plan benefit has been used, the Plan is deemed consumed and terminates immediately. Any further repairs or part replacements must be purchased separately.
- Protection Plan benefits cannot be combined with the 45-day trial policy or applied to refunded orders.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
The Protection Plan is non-refundable once purchased. The Plan is non-transferable and cannot be resold.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
This Plan provides specific contractual rights. It does not extend or modify ELEHEAR’s One-Year Warranty, nor does it alter the scope of ELEHEAR’s standard after-sales service.
